Syncourse is a very digital percussion synthesizer, inspired by the very analog Pearl Syncussion SY-1.

Introduction

What happens when you take an analog classic, and implement it in the digital domain with reckless disregard for digital artifacts? Syncourse is the answer to that question. Featuring all the same controls as its analog muse, the addition of digital grit takes this percussion synthesizer in a whole new direction. Specifically tailored for generating harsh, percussive sounds, ideal for Techno and Industrial music, the sonic palette of Syncourse is most aptly described as "gritty and sharp".

We didn't stop with just recreating the control set of the original. Additional features include expanded modulation capability, an arpeggiator, tone controls and a stereo delay. But the most important addition is the introduction of three destructive effects; a sinusoid waveshaper, clipping distortion and sample rate reduction.

With these sound shaping tools you can take any percussive sound and drive it to the extreme, creating thick, speaker-shaking kicks and percussive textures.

Features

  • Implementation of all six modes of the Pearl Syncussion (with some caveats)
  • All faders have been calibrated to match the throw and curve of the original.
  • Tweakable internal parameters for the B,C,D and E modes.
  • Flexible arpeggiator with tempo sync.
  • Low-shelf, high-shelf and Hi-pass tone controls
  • Sinusoid wavefolder, distortion and samplerate reduction effects
  • Stereo Delay with tempo sync.

Note: This plugin offers a fully functional evaluation mode. It does not expire, but we ask that you purchase a license if you do continue using the product.
